How the EnvironmentReady™ Oracle Replication Cloud Service Works
In the event of data loss, a failure or even a complete site outage, the EnvironmentReady Oracle Replication Cloud Service provides immediate recovery to a standby Oracle database either at the local-site or in our Recovery Data Centre. The standby database is the equivalent of having a real-time shadow copy of the primary database available 24x7. In the event of a failure or disaster there is no need to restore data, allowing Customers to switch over to the standby database in a matter of minutes.
To protect against data loss, corruption or human error the EnvironmentReady Oracle Replication Cloud Service also allows the database to be rolled back to previous consistent recovery points (e.g. at 30 minute intervals) over the last 24 hours.
Improve Performance & Compatibility
EnvironmentReady Oracle Replication Cloud Service maximises return on investment as processing loads can be offset to the standby database. For example, your standby database can be used for reporting or data warehousing purposes which would otherwise impact your primary database. Additionally, long term backup and archival operations can now be performed in the middle of the day from the standby database without impacting production work loads.
EnvironmentReady Oracle Replication Cloud Service will work with all configurations, versions, and features of Oracle (from 8i onwards both 32bit and 64bit) on almost all Unix, Linux and Windows platforms.

The EnvironmentReady Oracle Replication Cloud Service is monitored and supported by GlobalView Operational Support System and our 24x7 storage operations NOC. The Global Storage NOC is staffed 24x7 to monitor the status, performance, and operations of data protection systems, software and processes to ensure they are functioning properly. The NOC will also provide assistance when required to ensure critical data and systems are rapidly restored in the shortest time possible.
Disaster Recovery Testing
