SaaSReady for Xero (Coming soon)
While Xero may be ‘beautiful accounting software’, they make it very clear in their terms of service that they take no responsibility for the loss or corruption of your data. Instead, their liability is ‘limited to taking reasonable steps to try and recover that data from our available backups’.
In short, Xero doesn’t have a built-in backup function. You can’t create a local or a cloud copy of your Xero company data. And you can’t roll it back.
As Xero has no short-term roadmap for adding backup functionality, you’re limited to DIY data exports.
Now, we’re not quite there yet, but SaaSReady for Xero is on our roadmap and is close to release.
