2021 Christmas Wrap
Another year is coming to a close, we hope that everyone will enjoy a safe and happy holiday period.
We thought we’d take a quick look back at everything that’s happened in 2021, as we start to look forward to next year.
Delivering Innovation
Business Resiliency and Security have firmly come to the forefront of our technology conversations with clients this year. We’ve taken this opportunity to drive innovation by releasing two new solutions in Security as a Service and SaaS Backup as a Service to help clients address these needs.
ThreatReady specifically helps our clients identify and report on vulnerabilities within their network, providing increased visibility. This allows the right resources to be deployed at the right time. SaaSReady tightly integrates data protection services for O365, Salesforce, MS Dynamics and Google Cloud. We’re also investing in native multi-cloud backup services for AWS and Azure public cloud environments.
In case you missed it, we’ve also rolled out a new website featuring a blog that we think is worthy of a bookmark.
A little recognition
Continuing our drive to be the best in the data protection space, we are proud that we’re the only Australian partner to hold the VMWare Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service certification.
We also took home the NetApp APAC Solution Innovation Award for our Backup-as-a-Service solution.
2021 has seen Global Storage achieve a huge milestone, successfully passing ISO 27001 certification. This certification further strengthens the mature process and methodology Global Storage brings to every customer project.
New faces and new territories
This year also saw James Mackie (Regional Sales Director) and Russell Wagenaar (Client Success Manager) join our leadership team. Both James and Russell are well known and highly respected within the IT community. Their addition to our team will help us expand our service offerings into the New South Wales and Queensland markets off the back of growing client demands.
For our NSW based friends, James is in Sydney, so feel free to reach out to him for a chat and to say hello.
Finally, a few words from our CEO, David Duncan
It is fair to say that 2020/2021 and living with COVID has undoubtedly raised some complexities and challenges, with some industries being more impacted than others. Huge credit goes to our team, who have worked tirelessly in difficult and often trying situations to make sure it is business as usual for Global and our customers.
Moving into 2022, we see customers continuing their rapid migration into the cloud, but at the same time taking a magnifying glass out and looking hard at the growing costs of the cloud services their business consumes. Global Storage is committed to guiding our customers on this journey and helping them better understand ways to optimise dollars being spent and reduce their ongoing operational costs.
We really appreciate the trust that you put in us, as clients and partners, and we’ll continue to deliver above expectations for you. We look forward to seeing what 2022 brings.
As a final note – the extended team are taking a well-deserved break this year. We’ll be running critical staff only from Dec 24th until Jan 17th. As always, you’ll be able to access support when you need it.
From our team to yours,
Happy Holidays.
